We’re all home early today because of snow. You see, it’s not often that we get snow in Central Texas. Ice–well, we get ice about once a year but that’s not fun to play in. Today we had honest to God fluffy white snow. My Yankee Fiance’ tells me it was flurries and a winter mix…but for us it was real snow! The girls rode the bus home and wanted to play in it right away. I insisted they go upstairs and get some socks to wear—on their hands. Texans don’t have much winter gear since we really only have about 15 truly cold days a year. My girls don’t wear gloves or mittens so when the rare snow event occurs we grab a pair of socks. That’s just how we roll.
